The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation, in coordination with the Association for Retarded Citizens, South Florida (ARC South Florida), will be hosting the 4th Annual Key Biscayne Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Event.
WHAT: The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation will host the 4th Annual Key Biscayne Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Event on Friday, November 7th at The Links in Key Biscayne.
Guests will sip wines graciously provided by Southern Wine & Spirits of South Florida. Under the coordination of sommelier Emilio Guerra, Dreyfus Ashby & Co, the Rotary Club will unveil a “Tour of the World” theme. Eight select vineyards will each represent a different wine producing region of the world including tours of France, Italy, Spain, Australia/New Zealand, USA, Argentina, Chile, and a Tour of Discovery. Each vineyard will pour five wines including a premium selection to be juried by two independent sommeliers.
Chef Andreina Yon, The Links, will prepare a selection of items to match the wines. All the wines will be available for sale at the event at discounted prices. The venue will coordinate all orders, payment, delivery and pick-up. More than two hundred guests are expected. The Links features renovated club house facilities and a relaxing view of the greens.
This annual event represents Rotary’s continuing collaboration with the Association for Retarded Citizens, South Florida (ARC South Florida). Proceeds will benefit the Key Biscayne Rotary Club Foundation. Funds will be used to help underprivileged youth in our area and to lend assistance to Notre Dame de Estoir Orphanage in Port O Prince, Haiti. ARC will organize the silent auction portion of the evening and will receive part of the proceeds to fund its programming in South Florida. Auction lots will consist of over 100 items including travel, restaurant, sports memorabilia as well as goods and services.
Rather than each organization holding an independent fund raising event, the two will work together to offer attendees, not only a wonderful evening, but an opportunity to support different efforts in our community.
